
Modartech is a recognised School of Excellence which offers training courses in fields of Fashion Design, Styling, CAD styling and design for wearing apparel and footwear, as well as Graphics and Web Design.
This is an exclusive college with limited enrolment numbers and offers a range of specific training courses targeted at the industry-relevant professions most in demand in the work market.
It is a college that has always been renowned for its close ties with the business world, alternating course classes with internships in prominent fashion and communications companies.

Student Category This is destined for all those who wish to follow a professional training course aimed at improving and enriching their skills and capacity (for example: high school or university students specialising in fashion design and pattern making, or people with previous work experience in this sector).

Weekly program
- Sunday evening: arrival and welcome. Arrival at Pisa airport – train connection to Pontedera station inside the airport.
- Monday morning: Course introduction. Monday afternoon:
Tour of the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum in the Spini-Feroni palazzo in via de' Tornabuoni: rotating exhibition of part of the collection of over 10,000 shoe models created by Ferragamo. These are examples of highest quality hand-crafted shoes showing fashion styles through the 20th century.
- Tuesday: laboratory. Course on various construction stages and work equipment. Setting up a product grid for developing a “mini” collection
- Wednesday: laboratory and tour of Macip Trend.
- Thursday: laboratory. Specifications for creating each single prototype. Styling techniques.
- Friday: laboratory. Styling techniques and creation of a prototype. Learning styling process skills using technology and tour.
- Saturday: A project presentation with evaluation by one of Tuscany’s leading shoe manufacturers. Tour of the Piaggio Museum at Pontedera (Vespa scooters)
- Sunday: departure
The Institute also provides customized courses for periods of 2 or more weeks for students and teachers/lecturers as on-going training, CPD Continuous Professional Development, including weekend courses. Customised courses for periods to be defined;Course programs under development according to specific requirements; Italian language courses (optional).
